Common Causes for Crashes:

  1. Incorrect Content Path:

Crashes may occur if the content library is scanned incorrectly or the path is not set properly. Ensure that the BFD sound libraries are located and scanned correctly.
    • Open BFD Player
    • Go to Settings > Content
    • Verify that the correct directory is selected for BFD content.
  2. Corrupted Presets or Libraries:

If a specific preset consistently causes a crash, it may be due to corrupted files. Test other presets, and if the problem persists, consider reinstalling the affected content.
  3. Reinstalling BFD Player:

If the above steps don’t work, try reinstalling BFD Player through the inMusic Software Manager. This tool ensures you have the most recent version of the software and handles all installations efficiently.
    • Open inMusic Software Manager
    • Uninstall BFD Player from the software manager interface
    • Delete any remaining user data, which can typically be found in:
      For Windows: C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\BFD Drums
      For macOS: /Library/Application Support/BFD Drums
    • Reinstall BFD Player via the inMusic Software Manager and rescan your content
