BFD3 | My presets aren't loading as expected, what should I do?

This support article contains guidance on how to resolve issues where presets are not loading as expected from within BFD 3.5.

If you are attempting to load presets and find that either the Kit, Mix, Groove, or Global Settings are failing to load or are missing. Please ensure that the option to include them is enabled within BFD 3.5.

In the browser window, ensure that the following options have been enabled - The image below presents how this appears if 'Disabled':

If any of the buttons are marked as 'grey,' each disabled option will not be imported when loading a preset.

To ensure BFD3.5 is loading all desired attributes from your preset, please click them and ensure they are enabled as seen below:

When enabled, attempt to load your preset, and your desired attributes will load as expected.

Glossary of Preset Options

  • Kit - Drums and Drum Editor settings
  • Mix - Mixer. Includes the Mixer configuration/routing, Effects, and any custom multi-output routing used in a preset
If this option is Deactivated: When changing to a preset with a smaller kit, greyed-out kit pieces will appear in the mixer as it retains the larger mixer from the previous preset.
  • Grv - Groove Palette, Drum Track, and Groove Editor settings
  • Key* - Key Map
  • Auto* - Automation maps. Including: MIDI CC, note, and host automation assignments
  • Glo - Global settings, Session preferences

*- By default, the Key and Auto buttons are deactivated, because typically, it would not be

desirable to keep changing these settings when trying different Presets
